 What is a Classic Competition?
A Classic event is a competition for 3 & 4 yr old bulls. These bulls buck for the full 8 seconds with a rider on them. Just as in the futurity competitions, each bull is judged. Because the Classic competition is judged along with the bull rider, the total score will range from 1 to 50 for each judge for a possible total of 100 points. Each judge can award the bull up to 25 points for their performance (5 points in each category). The bull with the highest score out of possible 50 points is the winner.
 How much are the entry fees and how much can a Classic Bull win?
Entry Fees at futurities range from $700 to $1,500. Prize money for the bull with the highest score ranges from $5,000 to $25,000. The ABBI (American Bucking Bull, Inc) Finals in Las Vegas pay a 1st place prize of $250,000 to the highest scoring classic bull.
