The South Point Hotel & Casino bowling lanes were packed! With many EG customers, breeders, fans, PBR bull riders, PBR employees, and ABBI staff just to name a few. Some of the notables that took part in the bowling tournament were Randy Bernard, J.B. Mauney, Kody Lostroh and Andee Lamoreaux. There were at least 20 PBR finals bull riders who participated. It was clear that everyone had a great time. Since this event was created to raise money for the Western Wishes Foundation, as well as for the ABBI Youth Futurity, everyone enjoyed the competition and the spirit of the game. But there was more at stake then just raising money for two very worthy causes and having a good time. Exclusive Genetics planned to give away a draft pick for the 2013 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity. So the stakes were high and the competition was tough.

After the 32 teams finished a team of PBR fans from California, named A Month Of Sundays, came out on top. With a sizzling score of 1767 they were ready to watch the EG PBR Bull Rider Team Members compete for the honor of a final bowling showdown. Because the way this contest worked was the Best EG PBR Riders/Bowlers would take on the best fan team and whoever won the match up would win the draft pick for the 2013 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity. If the EG team won, then Western Wishes would receive the draft pick in the 2013 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity and the EG Rider Team would win $1000.00. If the fan team won then they would receive the grand prize of $1000.00 AND the draft pick in the 2013 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity.

The nine EG bull riders bowled a game to see who was the best three to form the finals team which would take on A Month Of Sundays in the showdown match. Ryan McConnell, Mike Lee, and Cody Ford came out on top. Billy Jaynes, CEO of Exclusive Genetics and the brain behind this fun Bowling Contest and fundraiser, saw immediately that his PBR Team of Riders were no match for the fan team. He quickly decided that even if the PBR Team DID NOT win the match up Western Wishes would receive a 2012 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity draft pick to auction off later that evening. Billy must know his bowling, as the EG team put up a good fight against A Month Of Sundays, but they were not good enough to hang with the team that averaged 200 a game per bowler.

When the dust all settled over $10,000 was raised for the ABBI Youth Division and approximately $9,000 was raised for Western Wishes foundation when Loretta and Gary Reid stepped up to the plate and bought the 2012 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity draft pick.

When asked later Jaynes said, “The turnout was unbelievable. We had as many people watching as we did bowling. There had to be at least 300-400 people here tonight and they all had fun, and we were successful raising money for two good causes. Hopefully this is something we can just make bigger every year.”
